Music Meets Politics: Ludacris & Chaka Zulu Host Reception For Senator Kasim Reed

Grammy award winning artist, actor and philanthropist Christopher ‘Ludacris’ Bridges and music mogul and philanthropist Chaka Zulu have joined forces to formally throw their support behind Atlanta mayoral candidate, State Senator Kasim Reed. They hosted a celebrity fundraiser to bring the political and entertainment communities behind their candidate of choice. The event was last night and held at Ludacris' restaurant Straits in Midtown.

Senator Reed was recently endorsed by Congressman Hank Johnson (D-Georgia), Creative Loafing, The Sunday Paper, the American Federation of State County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME) and former Atlanta Mayor, Ambassador Andrew Young.

Other hosts of the event included Atlanta Hawks player Jamal Crawford, James Dubose, Sean Garret and Gee Roberson.

Tyler Perry Is Pissed Off

Tyler Perry was on "60 Minutes" last night and he discussed everything from his horrific childhood in New Orleans to how he owns his empire and how he gets his characters to talk about God, love, relationships, and other things.  Of course he speaks on Spike Lee's comments about his characters being "coonery" and  "bufoonery."
“I would love to read that [criticism] to my fan base. All these characters of mine are bait, bait to get people talking about God, love, family, and faith. That pisses me off. It is so insulting.” - Tyler Perry
I think it is just pure hate on Spike's part.  I mean here is a guy who turns nothing into something on his own and you have others who can't share in your blessings.  On the contrary, Spike is entitled to his opinion.  What are your kreative thoughts?
